Notice of Public Meeting, Town of Pine Haven, WY Pine Haven Lead Service Line Identification & Replacement Project

The Town of Pine Haven, Wyoming, will conduct a public meeting at 6:00 PM, local time, on May 12th, 2025, in the Pine Haven Town Hall, 24 Waters Drive, Pine Haven, WY. The purpose of the meeting is to allow citizens to review and comment on the following project(s). The Town of Pine Haven will be pursuing a project to replace lead and galvanized lines requiring replacement in accordance with the EPA Lead and Copper Rule. This project is necessary to prevent lead contamination in the town's drinking water, which can cause damage to young children and fetuses including nervous system damage, learning disabilities, stunted growth, impaired hearing, and blood diseases.

At the meeting, the Town of Pine Haven will present the preliminary design of the proposed project and will discuss the estimated cost of the improvements and the plan for funding the improvements. Based on current cost estimates, the Town of Pine Haven plans to borrow $999,603 from the Wyoming Drinking Water State Revolving Loan Fund administered by the Wyoming Office of State Lands and Investments. It is anticipated that there will be 100% principal forgiveness for the loan, meaning the loan will be forgiven in full upon substantial completion of the project. The average rate increase is estimated to be $0/month per user to repay the loan. Loan terms will be 0% interest rate and 30 years.
