PublicSource's annual analysis of City of Pittsburgh payroll data ([link removed]) found that compensation outside of regular pay and overtime surged last year. From two police officers getting $100,000 or more in back pay to a council aide earning a $75,000 “bonus,” a total of 21 employees got extra compensation beyond what any logged in 2023.
