I brought EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin to San Diego so he could see firsthand the devastating sewage crisis pouring across our southern border.
What he saw was outrageous:
Over 100 billion gallons of raw sewage and industrial waste have spilled into the Pacific from Mexico—poisoning our waters, sickening our Navy SEALs, and closing our beaches for more than 1,000 consecutive days.

That’s right—our Navy SEALs are being forced to train in toxic waters. They’ve suffered serious health consequences due to exposure during vital readiness exercises off the coast of San Diego. This is completely unacceptable.
Let me be clear: Mexico created this crisis—and they must fix it.
The United States cannot and should not keep cleaning up a mess we didn’t make. It’s time for Mexico to fix the failing sewage infrastructure on their side of the border—and fix it immediately.
If they won’t act, we must consider stronger measures—and I know President Trump is carefully monitoring the situation. It would be in Mexico’s best interest to solve the problem now.
