John: Happy 117th birthday to the U.S. Army Reserve!

Today, and every day, I'm thankful to the men and women who dedicate their lives to protecting ours. As a third-generation veteran, I know how important it is to care for those who choose to serve our country. It’s one of the reasons I’m on the House Armed Services Committee and lead the Military Personnel Subcommittee. 

Right now, the Trump Administration is making our work harder and putting the lives of both our current servicemembers and veterans at risk. And he’s doing it with the support of Congressional Republicans who have the power to stop this reckless and dangerous behavior. 

From discussing classified plans for U.S. military strikes in Yemen over Signal in MULTIPLE group chats to firing thousands of employees at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (with plans to fire more) – the Trump Administration is jeopardizing the safety and security of our current and past military members.

I called for Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to resign and invited VA Secretary Doug Collins to visit our local VA to see firsthand the mission-critical work being done there. I won’t stop.

But I don’t do it alone, John. With our military and veterans at risk, I'm calling on 100 supporters to sign my petition and stand with those who fought for our freedom – including you. Please, will you add your name to show your support for our military and veterans before midnight tonight?
