In November of 2024, voters nationwide told our government, enough is enough. The scourge of illegal invasion of the United States by upwards of 15 million foreign nationals had to end. So, President Donald Trump laid out a plan to do just that.
Prior to that, illegal immigration had become so commonplace, Joe Biden had an app for that. The CBP One (Customs and Border Protection) made seeking asylum in the United States as easy as tapping a few buttons and showing up.
Democrats loved this change as they fought hard for millions of illegal aliens flooding America, until the new administration decided it would be no-nonsense. In less than two months, Border Czar Tom Homan had arrested over 32,800 aliens present in the United States unlawfully, with 70 percent being convicted of or charged with serious criminal acts.
Included among these were over 200 deported to El Salvador after having been determined to be members of criminal gangs, such as MS-13 or Tren de Aragua, where President Bukele placed them into his maximum security Terrorist Confinement Center, or CECOT.
From this, radical Democrats found their cause celeb, Kilmar Albergo Garcia, deported to El Salvador in March.
Described by many in the press as a “Maryland Man abducted off the streets”, they describe him as a family man with three children who are U.S Citizens, a devoted wife and a hard worker.
The Department of Homeland Security tells a very different story. Garcia is an El Salvadoran with a valid deportation order. The evidence shows that not only has Garcia been determined by multiple courts to be a member of MS-13, a terrorist gang.
He sports their tattoos on his hands. Garcia was even stopped for transporting an entire carload of eight unknowns across state lines to Tennessee in 2022, all of whom gave police Garcia’s own address.
Those opposing the Administration have decided Kilmar Garcia is their hill to die on. Virtually every network television program have said that the Supreme Court “ordered the Trump Administration to facilitate the return of Kilmar Garcia, 9-0” or some variation.
These pundits describe “facilitate” to mean taking active steps, despite the fact that no U.S Court has the authority to make a foreign power such as El Salvador to do anything.
Further, Courts must give “deference owed to the Executive Branch in the conduct of foreign affairs,” says the Supreme Court.
More activist judges have fed this frenzy, with Judge James Boasberg threatening criminal contempt because the Trump Administration did not act on his unlawful orders to stop deporting. Fourth Circuit Judge Wilkinson said that deporting criminals would “reduce the rule of law to lawlessness”. Judge Paula Xinis, upon hearing that she needed to determine what her order to ‘effectuate” meant, replied that it meant “facilitate”.
These people have just stopped making sense.
Democrats have decided to side with the invaders as well. Senator Chris Van Hollen traveled to El Salvador and met with Garcia. Van Hollen said he did it because “you threaten the constitutional rights and due process for everyone else in America.”
This despite Garcia having been before two different judges. Subsequently, four other Democrat House members jumped on the same bandwagon and all traveled to see Garcia, demanding he be freed to roam America. Truly, they are turning into “DeMS-13.”
Past administrations, going back over 200 years, have had the authority to deport and remove foreign invaders from our country almost at will.
Today, even the Supreme Court seeks to remove from our Chief Executive the ability to remove a threat after Congress has concurred.
Unless the government holds over 15 million hearings, of course.
The question needs to be asked, who runs this nation? Is it the people themselves? Is it the elected representatives of Congress? The elected President, chosen to enforce law?
Or is it a slim selection of unelected activist judges, seemingly unaccountable to no one ?
The American citizens should demand an answer. We certainly will. Will you?
