Codifying Trump’s Overseas Pro-life Policies

I am an original co-sponsor of a bill that would codify Trump’s overseas pro-life policies into law. United States taxpayer dollars should not be going to fund organizations or programs that support abortion in foreign countries. You can read more about the President’s executive order here.

Meeting with the Mississippi Bankers Association

I had a great discussion with the Mississippi Bankers Association during their visit to Washington. Banks across Mississippi are crucial to the financial stability of our communities and to future economic growth. I appreciate the opportunity to meet with these business leaders.

March Storms Disaster Relief Update

Last month, Central, Southwest, and East Mississippi experienced strong storms that left damage across the Third Congressional District. Our Mississippi Congressional Delegation has been advocating that communities across our State receive the Federal resources they need to recover. I am sharing a timeline and update on these activities and will continue to work with my colleagues in the Delegation and our State and local leaders on your behalf.

March 15th: The Governor declared a State of Emergency.

Pre-April 1st: MEMA sends disaster info to the Governor.

April 1st: Governor Reeves requests FEMA Federal Assistance, requesting a Major Disaster Declaration from President Trump.

April 2nd: My colleagues in the Mississippi Congressional Delegation and I sent a letter to President Trump urging him to approve this FEMA Federal Assistance.

April 15th: I reached out to the President's staff, who said that President Trump has received the request
