Economic Injury Disaster Loans Available

*Small businesses and most private nonprofit organizations* located in a declared disaster area and which have suffered substantial economic injury may be eligible for a Small Business Administration *Economic Injury Disaster Loan*. Foreclosure Relief for Wildfire-Affected Homeowners

There is a foreclosure moratorium for FHA-insured single-family mortgages in effect until *July 7, 2025.* It gives disaster-affected homeowners more time to focus on recovery without the fear of foreclosure.

Property owners who opted *"out"* of the government-run program, choosing to hire private contractors for fire debris removal, can receive an Eaton and Palisades Fire Debris Removal permit via the County’s EPIC-LA system [ [link removed] ]. This permit allows home and business owners—and their authorized private contractors—to manage their own debris removal efforts while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal safety and environmental standards. If you have concerns over how private contractors are hauling debris, you can file formal complaints on The Works app [ [link removed] ] or through the Opt-Out Fire Debris Removal Permits Hotline:1-888-479-7328. The hotline is open Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
