I recently
introduced a bill to rein in Elon Musk and other Special Government
Employees.

It’s pretty simple: an unelected billionaire should not be acting as
co-president of the United States, sitting in the Oval Office, joining
Cabinet meetings, and making official decisions, all while making $8
million a day on government contracts while he’s at it.

You may be wondering why this scenario could even be possible in the first
place. It’s because Trump made Musk something called a “Special Government
Employee” or SGE. These SGEs serve for a short period of time and have
weaker ethics requirements than most other government employees.

That’s why I introduced a new bill that will crack down on conflicts of
interests and enforce stronger ethics rules for all SGEs.

from hijacking our government for their own financial gain. Add your name

Act to strengthen conflict-of-interest barriers, prevent financial
self-dealing, and shine a light on the finances of these government
employees.

Look, Musk has a huge ownership stake in Tesla, so he should be walled off
from conversations about electric cars.

He's selling his services to the federal government to launch rockets into
space, so he should be walled off from federal contracts for SpaceX.

He and his companies are under investigation by federal regulators, so he
should be walled off from law enforcement action.

I’m still fighting to put a stop to Musk taking a chainsaw to our
government. But along the way, this bill would make sure he cannot make a
bigger profit while he has the ear of the president.

attention and calling them out over and over on behalf of the American
