Friends,

On Monday, I delivered my annual State of the City address.

Los Angeles is a world-class city — and Angelenos deserve a City Hall that’s ready to evolve and buck the status quo to solve our greatest challenges.

This isn’t the first time we’ve faced adversity, but we’ve met every challenge with collaboration, grit, and a shared purpose of doing what’s right for Angelenos on every street and in every neighborhood throughout the City.

Initiatives like my Inside Safe program have reduced homelessness in Los Angeles for the first time in years, and recent crime data shows we’re making our communities safer and stronger.

Just last week, I joined Councilmember Traci Park at the Palisades Library to highlight debris removal after January’s wildfires. We’re months ahead of expectations in the recovery process, and we’re not slowing down any time soon.

You and I both know that this won’t be the last challenge we take on. But to solve our biggest problems, we must be brave enough to change the status quo, bring new ideas to the table, and work together to keep moving LA forward.
