[1]Alex Padilla for Senate

Friend, it’s Alex.

I’m asking you to join me in demanding my Senate colleagues vote ‘NO’ on the anti-voter SAVE Act.

The Trump Administration and Republicans in Congress are trying to make it harder for Americans to vote.

They know the MAGA agenda — massive cuts to Medicare and gutting Social Security to pay for tax breaks for billionaires — is deeply unpopular.

So their plan is to make it as difficult as possible to vote, disenfranchising millions of Americans including married women, rural voters, service members overseas, and anyone simply trying to register to vote online or by mail.

This bill would mean no more online voter registration.

No more mailing in your registration card as millions of people have done safely and securely for years.

No more voter registration drives in the run-up to elections.

Let’s be clear: This is not about immigrants or immigration. This is about the voting rights of American citizens.

Republicans want to pull back all the progress we’ve made to expand our democracy and guarantee the right to vote.

We can’t sit back and let Republicans take us backwards.

Now that this bill has passed the House, we have to stop it in the Senate. I’ve been leading the fight to hold the line. And to do that, I need your help to demonstrate to my colleagues that the American people overwhelmingly do NOT support anti-voter laws like the SAVE Act.

Please add your name to my petition calling on the Senate to vote ‘NO’ on the SAVE Act. I will vote ‘NO’ and am working hard to lead my colleagues to do the same, but I can’t do it alone.

Thank you for making your voice heard, especially now.

With gratitude,

Sen. Alex Padilla
