Dear John,
On Thursday, May 8 at 5:00 Pacific / 7:00 PM CT / 8:00 PM EDT, People's World is hosting a town hall titled "Labor's Fight Back—Where do we go from here?"
We will be joined by trade union leaders and labor activists to discuss the burning questions of our movement under Trump 2.0.
The event will be streamed on the PW's YouTube, X, and Facebook channels. RSVP here to get the links. [[link removed]]
In light of Trump's attack on federal workers and attempts to break 2 unions, what is the present level of fightback? What are its strengths and weaknesses?
What needs to be done to further extend the fight back?
Is there a need for a National March on Washington, like Solidarity Day 1981, or some other tactic?
Panelists include:
Elise Bryant , president of Coalition of Labor Union Women (CLUW);
Hamilton Nolan , labor writer for In These Times;
Keith Richardson , president of American Postal Workers Union (APWU) Chicago Local and Coalition of Black Trade Unionists (CBTU) Chicago .
What do you say, John? Can we count on you to join us and spread the word? RSVP here to get the links! [[link removed]]
See you at the Town Hall!
