John,

First off I want to say thank you to each and every person who volunteered, donated and voted for our campaign to move DeKalb County forward. Your energy is what we need to propel this progressive movement fighting for real change now, and I'm so grateful for all of your time, energy, and support.

The results are still coming in, and as of this email, we are hearing final results won't be available until Friday. I know - that's days from now. There are over 36,000 absentee votes that still need to be tabulated, so quite a larger number of ballots to get through.

We will keep you posted as we get more information, but for now take a well-deserved rest, not too long though - we still have much work ahead of us this summer and into the fall election.

Thank you for being a part of this grassroots people-powered campaign - together we can push forward the reforms and systemic changes our society so desperately needs.
