(This is what authoritarians do)

John,

Like you, I learned from Mary Gay this week that the Environmental Protection Agency was founded by Richard Nixon — I had no idea! So, my interest was extra piqued when I came across this:

US EPA closing its museum, administrator says.

We know that environmental protection was once a bipartisan issue — it’s a public health agency, after all. It’s wild to think how far the Republican party has fallen to be so gleeful now at gutting the agency that protects our public health and clean air, land, and water. And to make matters worse, the Trump Administration is trying to erase the EPA’s bipartisan past by going so far as to shutter the EPA museum.

Do you believe the EPA should be protected and its bipartisan history known? Instantly add your name to let our team know >>

The Trump Administration wants us to forget our past — it’s another move straight out of the authoritarian playbook. Add your name today to help us send the message to the Trump Administration that we refuse to forget our history.

Thanks and Happy Earth Week,

Luke
