John, it’s clear that Republicans won’t check Trump or Musk’s power, so we need to elect as many Democrats as possible who will. But to do that, we need your help. Let us explain: The American people did not elect Elon Musk. But Trump has given him unrestricted access to our government, letting him set up a new agency that has worked to dismantle other government agencies and has fired thousands of federal workers. Meanwhile, Secretary of Defense — former Fox News host Pete Hegseth — has been talking about war plans on insecure messaging apps. Not only with other members of the Trump administration but also with his own wife and brother. Employees have come out to expose the total chaos and severe dysfunction that people like Elon Musk and Pete Hegseth are causing. But Republicans have done absolutely nothing. The lack of oversight and accountability that’s happening right now is extraordinarily dangerous. And the consequences of crippling these agencies and putting our national security at risk could be disastrous. That’s why right now, it’s so important that we build up the long-lasting infrastructure we need to build a strong Democratic Party that will vote these Republicans out of office and elect Democrats who will actually check Trump’s power.
