Rachel is a trailblazer, a powerful voice for equity, and a lifelong advocate for justice. From her groundbreaking work at the Department of Justice to her fearless leadership on Capitol Hill and in the courtroom, Rachel has spent her career fighting for those too often left out of the system.
With experience ranging from public defense in Los Angeles to serving as the Director of the Office for Access to Justice in the Biden administration, Rachel has made it her mission to fight for those whose voices are too often unheard. And now, she’s bringing that same energy and vision to AFJ.
Her appointment is more than a new chapter — it’s a call to action.
