That’s what I’ve always told my boys, Theo and Henry, when we go into nature.
Unsurprisingly, it’s also a reminder that a lot of elected Republicans could use. Ted Cruz said that “climate change is not science.” John Thune said that Democrats are pursuing “a radical environmental agenda.” Donald Trump said that efforts to mitigate the climate crisis are “very expensive global warming bullshit.”
I could go on and on and on.
I won’t stay silent as the GOP attempts to deny the basic existence of the climate crisis and diminish its urgency.
That’s why I helped pass the most monumental climate bill in American history and continue to advocate for clean energy, green jobs and holding polluters accountable.
