This year, we’re proud to feature P. O’Connell Pearson, author of We Are Your Children Too: Black Students, White Supremacists, and the Battle for America’s Schools in Prince Edward County, Virginia. Pearson’s work shines a light on the courage of young leaders like Barbara Johns — and the urgent fight for academic justice that continues today.

The event will take place on Sunday, May 4, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Army Navy Country Club in Fairfax, Virginia.
