[1]Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for Congress

On day one, Trump promised he would ‘end the Green New Deal.’

Since then, he’s announced plans to eliminate 31 Biden-era protections —
and the jobs of 1,155 chemists, biologists, and other scientists — at the
EPA.^1

His administration has already approved over 70 industrial polluters for
‘presidential exemptions’ from federal requirements to reduce emissions.

And today, reports say Trump will now directly target environmental
nonprofits.^2

So for Earth Day, we’re highlighting the work of three community
organizations that — even in the face of MAGA hostility — are fighting for
a brighter, greener future for all.

[ [link removed] ]Will you make a $3 contribution today — $1 for each of these incredible
organizations — to help their work through the fiasco of this
administration?

Here’s some more information on each of the groups you are supporting
today:

• South Bronx Unite brings together neighborhood residents, community
organizations, and academic institutions to create community land trusts,
manage the environmental impacts of the waterfronts, and improve the
future for historically underserved communities in the South Bronx.

• The Jackson Heights Beautification Group is working to give the people
of Queens a cleaner, greener, and safer environment, one block at a time.
Made up of a group of grassroots, community-based organizers, JHBG also
promotes youth enrichment and the arts.

• The Bronx River Alliance is working to improve and restore NYC’s only
freshwater river, the Bronx River, which — although it runs through a
dense corridor of working-class families — has been used as a dumping
ground since the beginning of the Industrial Revolution.

Together we’ve raised over $8 million for mutual aid groups, relief
programs, and more.
