Last week, I was happy to have my staff join me as we spent the week in beautiful Northwest Georgia! We loved spending time with constituents at our town hall in Cobb County and meeting with local leaders throughout the district.

We are hard at work delivering the mandate YOU gave this past November. I look forward to working with the Trump Administration and my Republican colleagues to put YOU first.

Leading in Georgia 14 & on Capitol Hill

This past Tuesday, I held a Town Hall in the greatest district in America, Georgia 14. It was wonderful being able to be home in our district and meet face-to-face with so many of you.

During this meeting, I reflected on all of the progress we have made under the Trump Administration and how I am delivering on the mandate YOU gave us in November.

Democrats tried to interrupt my Town Hall by violently confronting police and shouting profanity from the crowd. I was very clear from the beginning that this behavior was not acceptable and anyone who disrupted the meeting would be removed.

I value the First Amendment and believe it's the right of every citizen to possess the freedom of speech. Individuals from all across America came to protest this event and my team and I were prepared. Individuals from outside GA-14 were given a spot right across the street from our meeting place to protest and share their views. 

My district office held our annual High School art competition. Students from the 14th District of Georgia were encouraged to participate to win a spot on the walls of the Canon tunnel to display their art. The Cannon tunnel leads constituents from their representative's office to the Capitol building, which is prime real estate for all aspiring artists.

I'm already looking forward to next year's competition!

I also met with businesses, mayors, city managers, police chiefs, and local leaders of many communities in our district!

It was very educational for me and my staff as we toured some of these local facilities to learn how I could better represent them in Washington. The City of Acworth and Kennesaw are new additions to our district and I really enjoyed my time getting acquainted with their leadership and learning about their history.

There is no place like Georgia's 14th District!

Polk County Standard Journal: CHS Cheerleaders Get State Capitol Spotlight

The Office of Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene is seeking interns for her office in Washington, DC. Applicants should be highly motivated, have excellent communication skills, and have interest in learning more about the legislative process. Start and end dates are flexible. Georgia ties are preferred, but not required. This is a paid position and college credit can be earned.

Interns will work in three different interest tracks:

• Policy: Interns will work closely with the Congresswoman’s legislative team. Tasks include answering phones, assisting with legislative research, processing constituent mail, attending policy briefings, and additional tasks to aid the legislative team.
  
  
• Communications: Interns will work closely with the Congresswoman’s communications team. Tasks include answering phones, compiling daily press and broadcast clips, organizing, maintaining, and updating media lists, drafting press releases, assisting with social media, and additional tasks to aid the communications team. Experience with the Adobe Suite is required.
  
  
• Administrative: Interns will work closely with the scheduler and staff assistants to complete tasks that are essential for day-to-day office organization. These include answering phones, compiling contact lists, processing constituent mail, leading Capitol tours, completing flag requests, drafting constituent correspondence, and assisting with weekly reports.
