The BBC has reported that local residents around RAF Lakenheath are calling for transparency about what’s happening at the base. This shows our message about nuclear dangers is really starting to get cut through in the media. In what looks like a reaction to CND’s revelation in the Mirror about nuclear cover ups, the BBC report also notes a nuclear emergency drill that took place at the base in 2024. But this is unlikely to reassure local residents about the dangers of living next door to deadly US nuclear weapons!
That's why it is so important we keep up the pressure on the British government to come clean about what’s going on at Lakenheath and call a halt to US nuclear weapons coming to Britain. Make sure you join us at the protest outside RAF Lakenheath this Saturday, 26 April.
Due to popular demand, an extra coach is going from London! Don't delay, book your spot today. More transport options can be found on our event page here.

Don't Bank on the Bomb - sign the open letter
As part of the Global Days of Action on Military Spending, Don't Bank on the Bomb UK are calling on Barclays, HSBC, Lloyds, NatWest and Standard Chartered to stop choosing profit over people and end the financing of nuclear weapons. While public services are underfunded, these banks have provided $30.5 billion to the nuclear weapons industry, fuelling global instability, environmental destruction and the growing threat of nuclear war.

You can take action by signing their open letter, which will be presented to the five banks on Friday, 9 May.
