Over the past two weeks, the Mississippi Center for Public Policy has spotlighted lawmakers who stood boldly for freedom during the 2025 legislative session. Today we honor two exceptional leaders whose impact cannot be overstated.
Senator Angela Hill – Senate Hero

Sen. Hill has long been a fierce defender of liberty. This session, she led the charge against divisive DEI initiatives and stood firm for education reform and individual rights. Her courage, consistency, and commitment to principle make her a standout leader in the fight for Mississippi’s future. We are proud to name her our 2025 Senate Hero.
Representative Jason White – House Hero

As Speaker of the House, Rep. White is pursuing a pro growth agenda. He was a driving force behind income tax elimination. His vision for a more prosperous Mississippi and his ability to unify and advance key reforms make him a winner.
It is only fitting we conclude this year’s Awards with two individuals who not only supported change but drove it forward.
Though this concludes our official recognitions for the session, the work of building a freer Mississippi continues—and we’re just getting started.
The forces for reform are winning. The forces of the status quo are in retreat.
