Thank you for becoming a member of the Center for Freethought Equality, the advocacy and political arm of the American Humanist Association, and the Freethought Equality Fund, the political action committee dedicated to increasing the number of open humanists and atheists, and allies, in public office at all levels of government. We do this work to strengthen the separation of government and religion, promote reason and evidence-based public policy, and increase the visibility and political clout of our community.
We cannot be successful without your active participation. Below are links to resources to enhance your activities as an engaged secular citizen.
To continue to increase the number of atheist and humanist elected officials, the Freethought Equality Fund endorses candidates at the federal, state, and local level. As a federal political action committee our PAC can only make direct donations, with a few exceptions, to our endorsed federal candidates, so we rely on our members - like you - to financially support our endorsed state and local candidates. We also encourage you to volunteer for the campaigns of

As a member you will be invited to attend our annual meeting, which is held during the American Humanist Association annual conference, and you will be able to vote to determine who will serve on the Center for Freethought Equality's Board of Directors. Due to regulations from the Federal Elections Commission, your membership must be
renewed annually. There are many ways to renew your free membership including voting in the board election, attending the annual meeting, or simply send us an email when we notify you during the renewal period.
Membership in Center for Freethought Equality is free. However, we gladly accept donations to either -- or both -- the Center for Freethought Equality (to fund our programs and operations) and/or the Freethought Equality Fund PAC (to fund our endorsed federal candidates). Donations are voluntary and are not tax deductible.
