It is also an important day to reflect on the great challenges we face in protecting it. Our current Administration continues to roll back crucial protections on clean air and water even as the climate emergency worsens.
It’s up to us to combat climate change and preserve our planet for future generations. We must stand together and use our voice before it’s too late.
The Trump Administration has made it clear they don’t care about protecting our planet — they prioritize big corporations over public health and environmentally conscious policies. It’s time for a change.
That’s why I joined Senator Markey in introducing the Water Intelligence, Security, and Cyber Threat Protection Act. The act will help assist local water systems in gaining access to the Water Information Sharing and Analysis Center (WaterISAC), a non-profit that provides information critical to ensuring the health and safety of communities’ drinking water across the country.
