Dear John,
Jewish American Heritage Month takes place each May. The month is an annual recognition and celebration of the history, achievements, contributions and culture of Jewish people in the United States. This year we are pleased to share a new collection of lesson plans and tools to support student learning.

In schools and classrooms, Jewish American Heritage Month provides an opportunity to learn about the Jewish community--including who Jewish people are, what they believe in, their culture, hopes and dreams, their history, diversity and complexity.
We are pleased to provide you with an enriching and engaging set of resources for your students, with middle-school lesson plans such as these:
-
Learn about notable Jewish Americans and what they contribute to Jewish history and culture.
-
Use poetry to reflect on the Jewish experience.
-
Reflect on Jewish holidays and traditions.
-
Dive into the history of Jewish immigration to the U.S.
This collection also includes short videos about how to teach the lessons, Sutori direct-to-student learning experiences that accompany all of the lesson plans, an educator Q+A guide, a Table Talk parent/family discussion guide and more.
We hope these resources help you and your students make the most of Jewish American Heritage Month and beyond.
