Good news for clean
energy!
Celebrate Earth Day with
these bright spots.
For the first time
ever, renewable energy sources have overtaken fossil
fuels in the U.S. power mix, with clean energy producing
more than half our electricity in March 2025!
|
Solar capacity in the
U.S. is set to double from 91 GW to 182 GW between 2023-2026, while
battery storage capacity will grow 70% in 2025 alone, according to the Energy Information
Administration. |
No matter who
occupies the White House, coal's grip on our energy mix is only
getting weaker. A lot of the national discussion around coal
restarts or production overlooks the fact that coal is simply not
economical. |
|
This is a challenging time for those of us who care about
clean energy and climate action, but inspiring progress is still being
made. Ohio Citizen Action is committed to championing local solutions
that deliver economic, environmental, and health benefits to all
Ohioans.
