I’ve seen a lot of tough races in my time, but let me tell you: this one is as important as it gets.
The Virginia Governor’s race isn’t just about the future of Virginia – it's a bellwether for the entire country. This will be the first major election after Trump’s inauguration, and it could set the stage for Democrats in 2026. If we don’t win big here, we’ll be facing a rough road ahead.

Here’s what’s got me terrified:
The Cook Political Report has called this race a TOSS-UP, and I couldn’t agree more. Polls are going to stay tight, and this race is going to be one of the hardest-fought in the nation. Republicans are going to flood the state with millions of dollars through their super PACs, trying to keep the Governor’s seat red. They know this race is everything to them – and we need to match their energy, their money, and their commitment. Remember, this race is the only opportunity to flip a Governor's office from red to blue in 2025.
If we don’t win this one, we’ll be handing Republicans a major victory ahead of 2026, and trust me – we can’t let that happen.
Right now, Democratic Governors are our last line of defense against the reckless policies coming out of the Trump administration, and Abigail Spanberger is the leader Virginia needs at this moment.
That’s why I’m asking you to step up today. We can’t win this without your help. The money that’s coming from the other side is going to be massive, and we need to be able to push back.
