This year’s theme, Our Power, Our Planet, is a powerful reminder that we all have a role to play in protecting our environment, and that renewable energy is at the heart of a healthier, more sustainable future.

We want to see a rooftop revolution. Our research shows that 60% of the UK’s solar energy needs could be met simply by installing panels on rooftops, saving precious green spaces for nature and farming. And we’re not alone. Recent YouGov polling shows 82% of people back rooftop solar on all new homes and commercial buildings.

The climate emergency is the greatest threat to our planet and countryside, but the good news is renewable energy can help us secure a thriving, sustainable future for both.
