Friend — tomorrow is Earth Day, and we’re sounding the alarm: Trump has just opened millions of acres of national forests to logging — even in
old-growth forests that are important habitat for wildlife and absorb climate
pollution and precipitation. He’s fired park and forest rangers and other public land managers responsible
for protecting our parks, forests, and public lands, causing uncertainty for
staff and visitors alike. And he’s issued orders that seek to end virtually every environmental safeguard
established in the last fifty years, threatening our clean air and water, our
health, and our communities. Trump and his administration want to take our lands and hand them over to
industry to be drilled, logged, and mined for their private gain. Enough. Is.
Enough. Public lands belong in public hands. This Earth Day, we are organizing a
major response — and we need your help. We’re going big here: we’re supporting demonstrations in states around the
country, generating calls and letters to every member of Congress, and working
with partners to raise the pressure in state legislatures, too. We’ve set a goal to reach 400 donations before midnight tomorrow on Earth Day.
