Longtime supporter JoAnne Miller sponsors our Earth Day matching gift campaign in memory of her husband, Lincoln. Together, they joined Population Connection in 1970, and as educators, they regularly used our Population Education materials to teach their students about population issues. They remained committed to stabilizing global population even after their retirement.

In his presentation, John will explore the urgent need for comprehensive strategies to stabilize global population growth. He’ll spotlight rights-based solutions—like expanding access to family planning, ensuring quality education for all, and supporting sustainable economies—that can help shape a healthier, more balanced future for both people and the planet.

Earlier this month, Population Connection was proud to participate in the 58th Session of the United Nations (UN) Commission on Population and Development (CPD58). We were among a few civil society organizations invited to make an oral statement during a panel discussion on how the ICPD Programme of Action can accelerate the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
