Mary reached out to me through our support email. She shared that she had been following Live Action on social media for some time and had learned from our videos what abortion truly is and the deep wounds it always inflicts on mothers and families.
At the same time, she had discovered that she was pregnant and was very conflicted about this news.
Mary told me about her regret in getting involved with a man who she did not trust to protect her or her baby. She was also being pushed toward abortion by those closest to her. Despite her feeling overwhelmed and scared about the future, I’m so glad and grateful that Mary knew she could trust our team.
Together, we walked through the resources in her local community that were ready and eager to support her through her pregnancy and beyond. I reminded Mary that her baby, though unexpected, is an amazing gift from God that has never existed before and will never exist again.
Finally confident in her motherhood and about her next steps, she felt empowered to embrace life!
I get so many messages from women just like Mary, and I’m seeing an increase in these mothers reaching out this year.
