John,

Donald Trump’s fascist government is ramping up its political attacks on
pro-Palestine activists by criminalizing dissent.

Students and protesters are being disappeared and threatened with
deportation simply for speaking out against the Israeli military’s
genocide in Gaza – a terrifying violation of their First Amendment rights.

Activists like Mahmoud Khalil and Rumeysa Ozturk were abducted by
plainclothes ICE agents off the street and have been in detention for over
a month without due process.

The administration's game plan is clear: crack down on and criminalize
speech they disagree with, scaring us all into silence. It’s fascism, and
it’s about time our elected officials fight back. We’re calling on
Congress to:

* Immediately demand the release of detained activists like Mahmoud and
Rumeysa;
* Compel the directors of the Department of Homeland Security, ICE, and
Customs and Border Patrol to testify before Congress about what is
happening;
* Launch an investigation into these politically motivated arrests and
visa revocations.

The time for silence is over,

protesters and calling on the heads of DHS, ICE, and CBP to testify?
