[link removed] [[link removed]] John,I wanted to take a moment to share something that makes me incredibly proud—not just as Minnesota’s Secretary of State, but as someone who deeply believes in the power of democracy.
The newest numbers are in: Minnesota ranked #1 in America for youth voter turnout in 2024 - and #2 overall in voter turnout.
That’s not just a statistic.
It’s a reflection of something bigger: Trust. Engagement. Hope.
But these results also put a target on our backs.
When we lead on voting rights and turnout, the challenges follow. Whether it’s disinformation campaigns, budget cuts to election security, or unconstitutional executive orders that seek to restrict voter access, we know that our progress won’t go unchallenged.
That’s why I need your help. Our work is far from over—and how we act now will determine if we keep leading the way, or get dragged backward. If you’re proud of this progress and want to see Minnesota continue to lead, will you chip in $10 or more to help us protect our democracy and continue fighting for every voter? [[link removed]]

At a time when so many are trying to make it harder to vote, spread disinformation, and erode faith in our elections, Minnesotans—especially young people—are proving that our democracy is still strong.
And I want you to know: It didn’t happen by accident.
We passed automatic voter registration.
We restored voting rights for over 55,000 Minnesotans.
We allowed pre-registration for 16- and 17-year-olds.
We protected election workers from threats and harassment.
We’ve fought back against lies and disinformation every single day.
That’s what it takes to make democracy work—not just in theory, but in practice. And it’s working.
I’ve made it my mission to ensure that every eligible voter in Minnesota can make their voice heard—no matter who they are, where they live, or what challenges they face.
That mission has never felt more urgent, or more personal.
Thank you for believing in this work and being a part of it. Together, we can keep moving forward. Please help me hit my April fundraising goal by chipping in $10 or more now → [[link removed]]
With gratitude,
Steve
