Great day John ,
Happy Spring! As the flowers bloom and the days grow longer, we're embracing the spirit of renewal and fresh beginnings here at Equality Virginia. It's a time for growth and looking ahead, and we're excited to share some important updates with you, our valued supporters.
Welcoming a New Voice to Our Team
Speaking of fresh beginnings, we are thrilled to welcome Reed Williams (she/her) to our team as our new Director of Digital Engagement and Narrative Strategy! She brings a wealth of experience in storytelling and will be instrumental in shaping how we share our story and connect with you all in more meaningful ways. We're so excited for the fresh perspectives and energy Reed brings to our mission for a thriving future for LGBTQIA+ Virginians.
Hitting the Road: Rise & Resist Tour
This SATURDAY, we're kicking off our Rise and Resist series! This is a fantastic opportunity for us to connect with you directly, share updates on our work and the current landscape in Virginia, and hear your valuable feedback. We'll be visiting several cities, and we'd love to see you there.

Early Announcement: Advocacy Institute!
As spring unfolds, we're excited to give you an early look at an amazing opportunity coming this September: our Advocacy Institute
This intensive program will equip passionate individuals with the tools and knowledge they need to champion a thriving future for LGBTQIA+ Virginians, on the local level. We're looking forward to welcoming a diverse group of community members and empowering them to make a meaningful impact in their communities and beyond. Keep an eye out for more details in the coming months!
Save the Date: Our Annual Dinner
Mark your calendars! Our Annual Dinner, a cornerstone event celebrating our community and collective impact, will be held on Friday, October 4th, 2025 . We hope you'll join us for another inspiring evening. More details and formal invitations will follow later this summer.
Spring Cleaning: Update Your Information
Just as spring often inspires a bit of tidying up at home, it's also a great time to ensure we have your most current contact information. It helps us stay connected and ensures you receive important updates (like pride events or dinner invitations!). If you have a recurring gift, it's also a good opportunity to review it.
Please take a moment to update your details or adjust your recurring commitment here: Check My Account Information [[link removed]]
If you would like to send a one time gift, every contribution, large or small, directly supports the fresh energy and ongoing projects—like our Rise and Resist series and upcoming strategic initiatives—that define this challenging but exciting season for EV and the communities across Virginia [[link removed]] !
