Rep. Miller-Meeks: Happy Easter Iowa!

With Easter just around the corner, I want to take a moment to wish all of you in Iowa a very happy and blessed holiday.

Whether you're gathering with family, attending a sunrise service, or simply enjoying the beauty of spring, Easter reminds us of the enduring presence of hope, renewal, and grace in each of our lives. At its heart, Easter is the celebration of the resurrection of Christ, a moment that changed the world and continues to inspire faith, courage, and compassion.

It’s a reminder that even in our darkest seasons, light can break through; that through sacrifice we find redemption, and through love, we find strength. That same spirit lives here in Iowa—in the patience of our farmers tending the land, in the shared meals with loved ones, and in the quiet ways neighbors look out for one another.

Easter reminds us that no matter the challenge, we are never truly alone. There is always a path forward and always something to be grateful for. In our busy lives, holidays like Easter give us the opportunity to pause, reflect, and reconnect with our faith, our families, and our communities.

I hope you’re able to enjoy this time to rest, reflect, and celebrate the blessings that surround us.

Great meeting with the Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce during their DC trip. We discussed the importance of extending the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, strengthening Iowa’s workforce, and investing in American manufacturing. Looking forward to working with them to deliver for the Quad Cities!

A rainy day wasn't going to stop us from celebrating the groundbreaking of the new Community Health Care Muscatine Clinic! Honored to have been a part of this special ceremony that benefits the community and excited for the clinic's opening in the near future.

Great to meet students, teachers, and skilled trades professionals from Indianola, Knoxville, and Newton at the Build My Tomorrow event! I'm proud to support the next generation of Iowa’s workforce, promote education about skilled trades and good-paying, hands-on jobs available directly out of high school, and highlight the strong partnerships that make opportunities like this possible.

Had a great time at the Davenport Rotary. Gave an update on the work I’m doing in Congress for Iowa—fighting for an extension of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, bringing down costs, securing the border, and unleashing American energy.

It was great speaking with the Iowa Business Council about some of the issues that matter most to Iowans and businesses—reauthorizing the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, lowering healthcare and energy costs, and boosting our economy to create more opportunities for everyone in our state.

It was great meeting Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent! I'm excited to work with him and President Trump to deliver meaningful economic relief for all Iowans.
