In exchange, the fossil fuel industry’s allies in Congress have been instructed by those same executives to enrich Big Oil at the expense of American consumers and taxpayers.

If Trump and his cronies get their way, we’ll be footing the bill for over $170 billion in handouts to the fossil fuel industry over the next decade.

• Auctioning off public land and resources for drilling
• Diminishing competition for the fossil fuel industry from renewable sources

Every single one of these handout schemes is outdated, inefficient, and a waste of our tax dollars. After all the progress we’ve made for our climate, Trump and his cronies are prepared to set us back decades.

American resources should benefit American people, not large-scale polluters. We can’t let Congress sanction these handouts, John. Our communities, our climate, and our wallets just can’t afford it.
