My parents came to Colorado to achieve the American Dream. They instilled determination and perseverance in me at a young age and worked hard to give my siblings and me the opportunity to go to college. I wasn’t going to take their sacrifice for granted, so I poured all of my time and energy into pursuing my dreams to make their hard work worth it.

Then, I continued that effort in Adams County as a pediatrician, where I saw countless families struggling to afford healthcare and make ends meet. I saw that the same American Dream my parents had access to was no longer attainable for too many Americans.

So, I decided to do something about it.

In the state legislature, I worked tirelessly to battle large drug companies, forcing them to lower the cost of prescriptions. I also helped pass a first-in-the-nation cap on the price of insulin. Then in Congress, I continued the fight to make prescription drugs more affordable and protect the fundamental rights of hardworking Coloradans.

But now, I see Gabe Evans representing us in Congress and putting his full support behind the extreme MAGA agenda. He’s driving up costs for working families and giving handouts to billionaires, and I won’t stand for it.
