The ATF and FBI have been caught red-handed, friend.

A FOIA request just revealed alarming information: ATF agents are requesting the FBI monitor gun owners for up to 180 days—just for submitting their information for a firearm background check.

This isn’t a criminal investigation. This isn’t targeting dangerous individuals. This is the government tracking Americans simply for exercising their Second Amendment rights.

Here’s what we know so far:

• ATF agents can request the FBI to flag individuals using the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS)
• That flag means the ATF is alerted any time that individual’s name is run through the system
• These surveillance windows last anywhere from 30 days to 6 months
• The “violation” that justifies this can be potential or even inapplicable
