Hundreds of protesters gathered at the Schenley Plaza in Oakland on Thursday as part of a National Day of Action for Higher Education. ([link removed]) The rally was one of many taking place around the country pushing back against the Trump administration. Speakers criticized efforts to slash research funding, revoke international students’ visas and eliminate diversity, equity and inclusion [DEI] initiatives.
