Dear Friend,

As you know, as part of our Positive Pathways campaign, we’ve launched billboards across the country with a vital, compassionate message about creating a supportive environment for women in unplanned pregnancy.

These signs call on our government to act - by removing the barriers that leave women feeling trapped and unsupported in unplanned pregnancies.

But now, abortion activists are threatening to tear them down - literally. This week, on a public online forum, they’ve encouraged others to vandalise our billboards!

The below user said (expletives edited out)

‘It’s creepy, f%&ked up fascist bulls%&t is what it is, and I hope it becomes a creative graffiti magnet’

This is an attack - not just on a message, but on the women and babies it seeks to help and protect. It shows a deep intolerance for any improvement in the way in which women in unplanned pregnancy in Ireland are treated.

Not only that, these activists have shared the location of the Cork billboard which shows clear intention that our billboard - paid for with your help - should be destroyed.

The below user suggested:

‘Get out with a spray can and f%*k that sh*t up’ and a further commented on the location of the billboard to facilitate other users.

We refuse to be silenced. We have notified the Gardaí in Cork City and we are working to protect our existing billboards and expand our billboard campaign, and continue to press the government to act—but we need your help to do it.

Right now in Ireland, nearly all government messaging and resources push women toward abortion. Since 2018, abortions have risen from 2,879 to 10,033 in 2023. That’s 1 abortion for every 6 births. The Positive Pathways campaign is about changing this reality by calling for:

✅ Real alternatives to abortion

✅ Practical supports for pregnant women and new mothers

✅ A place at the table for groups who offer life-affirming care

👉 face to face meetings with TDs and Senators

👉 a huge social media advertising and video promotion campaign which highlights the lack of resources for women seeking positive alternatives to abortion.
