Amidst the headlines coming from conflict in the West Bank, we cannot forget about the very real and tragic impacts on millions of women and girls in the region.
Recent bombings have devastated healthcare facilities and displaced over 40,000 people since the beginning of the year.

Nour* , a woman in the West Bank, was on her way to a doctor when a bomb hit. She lost her baby because she couldn’t access medical care, and she was separated from her family.
Rana* , a woman forced to leave a refugee camp while seven months pregnant, said, “ I’m mentally exhausted from worrying how I will give birth and reach the hospital if it continues like this. I haven't received any healthcare for a month, nor have I visited a doctor because I couldn’t get there. My medications have run out, and I couldn’t afford to buy more.”
Dina* , a 27-year-old woman who is five months pregnant, had to flee from one refugee camp to another shelter with her family of 10. Fortunately, she was able to get help from a counselor and receive pregnancy check-ups at UNFPA–supported facilities.
Quite simply, this is a matter of life or death for so many pregnant mothers, newborns, and women and girls. In this time of extreme uncertainty, we are turning to YOU to help us be there for every woman or girl, no matter what.
We cannot abandon the women and girls in the West Bank living under constant threat of violence and destruction. Because of the generosity of donors like you, UNFPA can support hospitals with supplies and lifesaving medicine.
However, the need is still great. But many organizations, including UNFPA, need more funding to fill the huge gap left by the U.S. government ending support for this crucial work.
Women like Nour, Rana, and Dina are counting on you. Can you make an emergency donation to help provide lifesaving care to women in the West Bank and beyond? [[link removed]?]

We condemn the violence in Lebanon, Gaza, the West Bank, and Israel, and hope for a sustained humanitarian ceasefire, the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages by Hamas, and an end to the violence. The suffering must end and peace must prevail.
Thank you,
