It's been two weeks since YDNC kicked off our 98th year as an organization, and I'm excited to share that we are off to a strong start!
Our Executive Board has been hard at work, getting ready to crisscross this state in support of our young Democrats. That's why I'm excited to share two opportunities with our members this week to get involved in YDNC.
First, YDNC is gearing up for the Young Democrats of America National Convention taking place this July in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. North Carolina holds a special place in YDA as its founding chapter–our founder Tyre Taylor served as YDA's inaugural president.
It's important that the Young Democrats of North Carolina once again have a strong delegation this year in Philadelphia, to represent our great state and to learn as much as possible to bring back to North Carolina in advance of critical elections in 2025 and 2026.
For our young Democrats, I invite you to apply to be a delegate here. It's an exciting opportunity to be part of this unique, biennial national event with young Dems from all across the country (and indeed the world)! Delegates get to hear national party leaders, members of Congress and statewide elected officials, network with fellow young Democrats, and build connections that last a lifetime at these events.
