Our water is at risk! We have to act now.

EPA announced the first step in plans by the current administration to further limit which waters are protected by the Clean Water Act, putting many important streams and wetlands at risk. At the heart of this is the definition of “Waters of the United States” (WOTUS), which determines where the Clean Water Act applies.

After the Supreme Court’s decision in Sackett v. EPA already significantly weakened that definition, any further rollbacks would be a giveaway to developers and corporate polluters who have been trying to weaken the Clean Water Act for years.

🛑 We cannot let this happen.

The EPA is accepting public comments through April 23 on what should be considered Waters of the United States. This is a pivotal moment to show that the business community stands united in support of clean water and long-term economic resilience. By raising our voices now, we can push back against deregulation and protect the health of our water, workforce, and economy.
