Conservatives in Congress are making the largest cut to Medicaid in history. They’re gutting programs that put food on the table for hungry kids. They’re slashing the civil workforce, eliminating entire government agencies and racking up the federal debt.

What’s it all for?

It’s not for you.

They aren’t taking any of these drastic measures to help stabilize the economy, lower our debt or put money back into the pockets of hard-working constituents like you. They’re doing it to help their billionaire friends get even richer.

Their proposed tax cuts arer worth $60,000 for the top 1 percent. Meanwhile, working families will get a couple hundred bucks -- savings that will be more than cancelled out by higher costs under the Trump tariffs.

I won’t stand for it: I will do everything I can to help prevent this bad budget from becoming reality and to pass meaningful legislation for struggling families. Because, unlike my extreme colleagues, I’m in it for you.
