Recent Legislation

  • CO-SPONSOR... H.R. 2502, to authorize a grant program for law enforcement and corrections agencies to provide behavioral health crisis response training to officers.
  • CO-SPONSOR... H.R. 2668, to authorize the use of Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program funds to support State and local efforts to reduce crime and recidivism through the expansion and enhancement of pre-incarceration diversion and rehabilitation programs.

Letters

A letter to House Speaker Johnson asking him to bring the Senate version of the HALT Fentanyl Act to the House floor.

A letter to the Secretary of the Treasury expressing strong concerns with the recent executive order to reduce or eliminate the Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) Fund.

A letter to Agriculture Secretary Rollins expressing concern over the recent decision to cut $500 million in funding for the Emergency Food Assistance Program, which supports the purchase of commodities from farmers directly to food banks.

A letter to the Secretary of Agriculture expressing concern and raising questions regarding reports of a list of “banned terms” being used within USDA’s Agricultural Research Service (ARS), including “affordable housing”, “safe drinking water”, “PFAS”, and “soil pollution.”
