Every day, the White House and GOP extremists push a dangerous far-right agenda—but at Arlington Young Democrats, we’re building a resilient, fired-up community ready to change the narrative.

Coming out of our Annual Convention in Harrisonburg, our mission is clear:

✔ Elect Abigail Spanberger as Virginia’s first female Governor
✔ Flip the House of Delegates
✔ Win the Lieutenant Governor and Attorney General races

And we’re not stopping there—we’re laying the groundwork now to flip the U.S. House and Senate in next year’s federal midterms. We can’t afford to let extremists stay in power. We’ve got to win—and win big.

🍎 AYD Community Food Drive

The Arlington Young Democrats are stepping up to fight food insecurity—and we need your help. Now through the end of June, we’re collecting donations for the Little Free Food Pantry (LFFP) at St. John's Church in Arlington. This 24/7 pantry offers free food and essential items to our neighbors in need—and with demand rising, the shelves need restocking.

📦 What to Donate:

Non-perishable, unexpired food (no glass jars)

Canned goods, boxed meals, shelf-stable milk

Snacks, plastic utensils, and basic toiletries

🗓 How to Donate:

Bring items to any AYD event this quarter

Drop off anytime in the donation bin on the 5th Street porch of St. John's Church

Lily Franklin Fundraiser 

Join AYD for a fundraiser supporting Lily Franklin for HD-41.

As the most competitive battleground race in Virginia, this seat is a must-win for Democrats to expand their control in the Virginia House of Delegates and will have major implications for access to abortion throughout the Commonwealth. If she wins, Lily will be the first Democratic woman to represent Southwest VA in her lifetime!

Community Town Hall

Join Congressman Don Beyer, Senator Barbara Favola (SD-40), Delegate Alfonso Lopez (HD-3), and Delegate Adele McClure (HD-2) for an important community town hall focused on how actions from the Trump Administration are impacting Arlington and Virginia.

Hear firsthand from Rep. Beyer about the local implications of federal policies, and get a full recap of the 2025 General Assembly session from our state legislators. This is your chance to stay informed, ask questions, and engage directly with your elected representatives.

PPAV Inner Nova Action Council 1 Yr anniversary panel Discussion

Join us for our one year anniversary! For this amazing accomplishment we will be hosting a panel with local reproductive advocates . You will be able to hear how our council and advocates are working to fight and protect abortion rights and how you can get involved. So bring a friend and put on some pink and come and celebrate with us! We will also be providing light refreshments.
