John — Do not believe Republicans when they tell you they won’t cut Social Security. 

On the campaign trail, Donald Trump promised voters he wouldn’t touch Social Security. But less than 100 days into his term, he’s already shut down countless offices across the country and fired staff. 

His top adviser, unelected billionaire Elon Musk, called Social Security a “Ponzi scheme.” 

Republicans in Congress aren’t any better. I recently proposed an amendment to prevent any cuts to Social Security. 

John, every Republican on the Budget and Rules Committees voted against it — despite how much they claim that they won’t touch Social Security.

If Republicans can’t agree to take cuts to Social Security off the table to pay for their tax breaks for billionaires, that should tell you a lot about who they’re working for.
