Team,

Earth Day is coming up, but the Trump Administration is doing all they can to strip our environment for parts and sell it off to the fossil fuel and mining industries.

Yesterday, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration released plans to undo vital protections in the Endangered Species Act. Under their new rules, destroying species' habitats won't count as 'harm.' This is as dangerous as it is ridiculous—loss of habitat is the single greatest threat to most species.

This comes as the latest in a long string of anti-environmental actions from the Trump Administration, from selling off our public lands to defunding our national parks.

Join us this Earth Month by signing your name to pledge your support for environmental protection policies and defend against climate rollbacks.

Trump has made it clear that he wants to open up more public land to destructive development, logging, and oil and gas drilling—at the cost of our health, safety, and environment.

When these environmental rights are stripped away, it's not just wildlife that suffers: it's people. The communities most impacted by pollution and climate change—Black, Brown, Indigenous, low-income, and rural—are often the same ones with the least access to safe, green public space. Defunding national parks and monuments also destroys good-paying, union jobs for rangers, environmental educators, wildfire crews, conservation scientists, maintenance teams, and other park workers.

This Earth Month, we’re not just asking for clean air and land—we’re demanding dignity, equity, and opportunity for the people who care for it. Add your voice to our community by signing our petition to defend against rollbacks!

And if you want to get even more involved, we've also got a special opportunity for you on Earth Day. We've just formed Park Protectors with our partner California Native Plant Society, and the first virtual meeting for young adults (18-35) in Northern California is on Tuesday, April 22 from 4-5 PM. Thanks for being part of our movement—and have a very happy Earth Day next week!
