John,
Donald Trump and his billionaire backers have resurrected a dangerous plan to dismantle and sell off the U.S. Postal Service, and the consequences couldn’t be more dire.
This isn’t just about mail delivery. It’s about 630,000 jobs, mostly held by women and Black Americans. It’s about veterans, rural families, and small businesses that rely on the USPS daily.
And it’s about power. The power of a public institution that serves every address in this country, over 168 million, without fear or favor. Trump and his allies want to rip that power away and hand it to private corporations for profit.
But there’s hope. Nearly 200 members of Congress, both Democrats and Republicans, have joined together to co-sponsor bipartisan resolutions H.Res.70 and S.Res.147. These bills would slam the brakes on privatization and protect the USPS as a public, independent service that works for the people.
We cannot risk losing a vital institution to Trump’s corporate wrecking crew. Tell Congress: Pass the bipartisan resolution to save the USPS now.
Privatizing the Postal Service would mean slashed services, skyrocketing prices, and mass layoffs. It would create yet another taxpayer-funded giveaway to the wealthiest elites, all while stripping communities of a service they depend on daily.
The USPS delivers medicine, pays workers, connects families, and upholds our elections. It stands for equity, accessibility, and the idea that some services should never be for sale.
Trump already laid the groundwork in his last term, and he’s itching to finish the job. We know his playbook, and we won’t be fooled. If we let Congress drag its feet, we risk watching one of America’s most trusted institutions be gutted before our eyes.
Tell Congress to act now. Protect the USPS before it’s too late.
Together, we can stop this privatization plan, defend public services, and protect the workers and communities who rely on the USPS every day.
