Our panelists are:

DARYL K. WASHINGTON: Civil Rights Attorney

Daryl K. Washington’s experience includes representing clients in Civil Rights law (including police brutality, police misconduct, wrongful arrest, wrongful death), Sports, Entertainment and Media matters, Business Transactions, Commercial and General litigation matters, Settlement Negotiations, Contract and Business Practice disputes, and other matters involving complex and unique issues. Daryl has represented clients before the SEC and Texas State Securities Board. He also provides legal advice for small businesses and assists with business formations, contract drafting and negotiations.

LEVATTA LEVELS: Chief Executive Officer of Higher Levels Educational Group

Ms. Levatta L. Levels is a 30 year veteran educator in which she has been a teacher, assistant principal, principal, bilingual specialist, director, assistant superintendent and superintendent. Currently, Ms. Levels is the Chief Executive Officer of Higher Levels Educational Group, Adjunct Professor, Author, Advocate, and Executive Mentor. As the CEO, Ms. Levels provides professional development and mentoring throughout the country. Working with the Texas Education Agency, she provided training and mentoring to principals throughout the state of Texas over the last 10 years.

MUSTAFAA CARROLL: Outreach Consultant

Mustafaa Carroll began his civil rights advocacy at 14 years old and became the NAACP Youth Council President in his hometown of Gary Indiana at 16 years old. He is the former executive director of the Houston Texas Chapter of the Council on American Islamic Relations: the United States' largest Muslim grassroots civil rights and advocacy group with over 30 offices nationwide. CAIR's mission is “To enhance understanding of Islam, protect civil rights, promote justice and empower American Muslims”.

ALISTON GRINTER-ALLEN: Senior Advisory - Staff Attorney for Next Generation Action Network.

Alison Grinter Allen is Board Certified in Criminal Law. She has been an active voice for civil rights in the courtroom and in the community. She has served as a criminal defense attorney for fourteen years, with a focus on indigent defendants and mental health cases. She has practiced in both federal and state courts at both the trial and appellate levels.

Alison is currently working with community groups to help provide nonprofit community-based alternatives to for-profit justice services. She is currently a Senior Advisory - Staff Attorney for Next Generation Action Network.
