John,

Last week, the GOP-controlled House of Representatives passed the SAVE Act — an extreme anti-voter bill that would make it significantly harder, if not outright impossible, for millions of eligible voters to register to vote and have their voices heard.

This is one of the biggest threats to voting rights we’ve seen in a generation. And it isn’t an isolated incident: it’s part of a broader far-right agenda to silence voters — through laws that make it harder to vote, maps that make it impossible for communities to elect candidates of their choosing, and outright attempts to steal elections (like what’s happening in North Carolina’s state supreme court race right now).

The fair maps movement is fighting back — and we need your help.

Rush a donation of $30 or more now to help defeat anti-voter attacks and power our nationwide fight for a truly representative democracy. With voting rights being undermined on multiple fronts, there’s never been a more urgent time to pitch in. [[link removed]]

The SAVE Act isn’t about saving anything — it’s about stripping away rights by:

* ❌ Requiring all eligible Americans to provide proof of citizenship by presenting a passport or birth certificate when registering to vote
* ❌ Upending online voter registration (a practice in 42 states!)
* ❌ Making it impossible for Americans to register to vote by mail
* ❌ Putting an end to voter registration drives nationwide

The positive-sounding name is a not-so-sly attempt to sugarcoat the idea of making it harder for millions of eligible Americans to cast their votes. We aren’t falling for it, John. And we’re pushing back against the MAGA attempts to dismantle democracy.

The NDRC is leading the fight for fair representation through fair maps — electing Democracy Defenders, stopping gerrymandering, and exposing and preventing threats to free and fair elections.

Now, we need you with us. So please, make a donation of $30 or more today to help power the NDRC’s democracy-saving work nationwide. [[link removed]]
